How to Add or Modify a Ledger / Accounting Head

Please follow the below steps to add or modify a ledger and accounting head.

If amount collection is capital in nature or one time funds collection, use Ledger group as Reserve and Surplus
1. Click on Left Menu
2. Go to Accounts.
3. Select the Tab LEDGERS
4. Click on the Add icon from the bottom right corner of the screen
5. Add a new Ledger name, add the description.
6. Select the Ledger group as Reserve and Surplus
7. Select the receivable ledger from the list or select Create New for better tracking of income.
8. Click Save Icon

If amount collection is monthly, quarterly or revenue in nature, use Ledger group as Income Revenue
1. Click on Left Menu
2. Go to Accounts.
3. Select the Tab LEDGERS
4. Click on the Add icon from the bottom right corner of the screen
5. Add a new Ledger name, add the description.
6. Select the Ledger group as Income Revenue
7. Select the receivable ledger from the list or select Create New for better tracking of income.
8. Click Save Icon

If expenses are revenue in nature, use Ledger group as Indirect Expenses
1. Click on Left Menu
2. Go to Accounts.
3. Select the Tab LEDGERS
4. Click on the Add icon from the bottom right corner of the screen
5. Add a new Ledger name, add the description.
6. Select the Ledger group as Indirect Expenses
7. Select the payable ledger from the list or select Create New for better tracking of expenses.
8. Click Save Icon

If expenses are capital in nature, use Ledger group as Fixed Assets
1. Click on Left Menu
2. Go to Accounts.
3. Select the Tab LEDGERS
4. Click on the Add icon from the bottom right corner of the screen
5. Add a new Ledger name, like furniture add the description.
6. Select the Ledger group as Fixed assets
7. Click Save Icon
